Using Item Scores and Distractors in Person‐Fit Assessment

چکیده
Abstract In order to detect a wide range of aberrant behaviors, it can be useful incorporate information beyond the dichotomous item scores. this paper, we extend and person‐fit statistics so that unusual behavior in scores distractors used as indicators aberrance. Through detailed simulations, show new are more powerful than existing detecting several types behavior, they able control Type I error rate instances where model does not exactly fit data. A real data example is also provided demonstrate utility an operational setting.

Gaining precision on the Alzheimer's Disease Assessment Scale-cognitive: a comparison of item response theory-based scores and total scores.
BACKGROUND The Alzheimer's Disease Assessment Scale-cognitive (ADAS-cog) is a commonly used measure for assessing cognitive dysfunction in patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD). The measure has 11 subscales, each of which captures an important aspect of cognitive dysfunction in AD. Traditional scoring of the ADAS-cog involves adding up the scores from the subscales without regarding their vary...

15 صفحه اولassessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea
data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...
Using Mutual Information for Adaptive Item Comparison and Student Assessment
The author analyzes properties of mutual information between dichotomous concepts and test items. The properties generalize some common intuitions about item comparison, and provide principled foundations for designing item-selection heuristics for student assessment in computer-assisted educational systems. The proposed item-selection strategies along with some common and conceivable methods, ...
متن کاملMultidimensional CAT Item Selection Methods for Domain Scores and Composite Scores: Theory and Applications.
Multidimensional computer adaptive testing (MCAT) can provide higher precision and reliability or reduce test length when compared with unidimensional CAT or with the paper-and-pencil test. This study compared five item selection procedures in the MCAT framework for both domain scores and overall scores through simulation by varying the structure of item pools, the population distribution of th...
